Steps of Power Special Christmas Update

Hello Soplings one and all! I hope that your Christmas season has been an absolute delight! As you know, I've been rather absent from social media and my blog this month (in fact, this may be my first post all month!), but Christmas is crazy busy for me! There are all the parties, cookie makings, decoratings, cookie eatings, family birthdays, and then of course, the usual writings and household things that make this month extra awesome and extra crazy.

So I'm going to wrap everything for this month in this post. I mean, I do have a post for next Monday on world-building (landscapes, this time), but let's be honest, we'll all be too busy to read it.

So let me give you a Steps of Power wrap up for this year. We had amazing art done for the series, added new interactive places on the Aersadore map, and many fantastic character bios to tickle your fancy.

By Spring we hope to have NEW CHARACTER ART for you! LE GASP! And MAYBE (this is a big maybe--we'll have to see how things are going) some pretty awesome sneak peaks into GoM itself!

First: Gods or Men is Well Underway

While Christmas is indeed a busy busy time for me, I still want to make sure I've got Gods or Men in your hands next year. I have a very reasonable schedule I've been doing a pretty decent job keeping (despite all the Christmasy things). I'm still focused on Jerah after I deleted about 90 pages of written content to revise his early storyline for the book. I'm pleased to say I think that this is a magnificent change and it is going very well.

Second: Convention Season 2017

This year we attended events in St. Louis (MO), Madison (IN), Cincinnati (OH), Louisville (KY), La Grange (KY), Knoxville (TN), New York City (NY), and an online book tour with over 75 phenomenal blogs! It was absolutely amazing meeting the thousands of fantasy fans out there! We are still not completely certain what events we will be attending in 2017. I believe we'll at least attend New York City, Cincinnati Comic Expo, and Fanboy (summer edition). But in addition to those, I can't say. Being that Gods or Men is a whopping 600 pages on the predictometer, I've got my work cut out for me to keep this baby on track with the quality you wonderful Soplings deserve! We'll look at a Fall/Winter Convention 2017 Tour.

Third: Steps of Power Cosplayers

I've had the absolute treat of meeting two new Steps of Power cosplayers at our last tour convention this year! Josh and Austin are currently working on their renditions of Navon and Jikun--and hot damn are they amazing so far! I have two fantastic photos for you and I'll share more in the coming weeks!

Fourth: Signed Christmas Gifts

My dear Americans, you still have a few days to grab signed copies of Kings or Pawns and/or Heroes or Thieves in our shop. (It's too late for International Soplings to get their physical copies by Christmas, but you can still grab ebooks and audiobooks for that special someone!)
