Hey SoPlings, Powerlings, and the assortment of strays who wander in from the Outrealms!
I had a wonderful time jumping back into touring! It's been 2 years (le gasp!) since we've done the normal touring and I'll tell you, you guys in Knoxville really made this a blast--old fans and new fans alike! Your excitement is my excitement, your passion, my passion. [And as always, a special shout out to those special peeps who come back to see us just to say hi! I am always so excited to see you again!] If you are new to the series: WELCOME! I am always ready to geek out with you and engage! I can't wait to hear what you think when you hit the end of Heroes or Thieves. I know your fellow fans feel the same! <3
Next stop, Gen Con in Indianapolis! (If you're unfamiliar with that con, it's the world's biggest gamer convention. As you can imagine, I'm SO EXCITED. It was the first convention fans asked me to attend and now, after 3 years, I am finally able to attend!!)
We'll also have available for the first time for purchase at Gen Con: The Throne (featuring Ilsevel), Navon (the new necromancer image), Darival, Darcarus (with a shirt or without a shirt--ladiiiies), and fleece blankets of Adonis & Vale, The Winged Assassin, and Gods or Men.
As for Gods or Men (the book), we're looking at a spring release. The draft is about 70% done. Once it is complete, the final stages of writing go very quickly. Editing/preparing for print takes about 4 months after that.
Unlike most conventions, I did not take a hundred photos. There is one of the booth:
And then some of my adventures out with fellow fantasy author, Stuart Thaman, romance author Breanna Thaman, and thriller author Tony Acree: we went to a hidden library bar. I can't tell you what it's called because here is the door down an alleyway and the red light is the sign:
Inside, it had the essence of a drunken Steampunk librarian. Fantastic!
And the drinks--all literary themed--were delicious! (We had Death in the Afternoon, The Artful Dodger, and Robert Baratheon.
