The Big Update

Hey everyone! So I'll try to keep this short but I have been EXTREMELY busy with some extremely exciting things!

FIRST: Fandomfest has been confirmed! See more here. We wil be selling some pretty awesome gear and also be show casing the upcoming Kickstarter reward tiers! (And trust me, this stuff is pretty damn cool)

Second: We will be going to Fandomfest in COSPLAY form. Oh yes. No boring old school writer here, my friends. My editor, husband, and myself will be going as three of the main characters of The Kings series.

My husband will be modeling Jikun's costume off the one on our website's banner, done by Kirk Quilaquil, our main artist. Myself and the editor will be doing costumes mildly modeled off Omupied's work, but mostly my own sketches. I'd show you, but I'd rather surprise you with the work-in-progress blogs I'll be doign over the next 5 weeks ;) There WILL be scalemail, leather, and three hairs of a goat involved.

This basically leads me into the really big thing coming up: KICKSTARTER FOR THE AUDIOBOOK. There will be more information on this coming up, but we'll be going for the monetary goal of funding the audiobook. You'll have the chance to get your hands on some VERY cool stuff and support a worthy cause. (Yes, fantasy is always a worthy cause.)

Third: I have finished a third round of edits on Heroes or Thieves, but am taking off the next 2 months to focus on kickstarter for the audiobook, Fandomfest, and a step-away-clear-my-head before the books final edits (before beta readers).

Fourth: I've made a lot of bread.

Fifth: I have a round table discussion in the D&D podcast, Rolecasters, with Brian Rathbone and Christ Kennedy on September 2nd at 9PM EST. Topic: The Flavor of Magic. More information to follow.

Six: I have an interview with AuthorsInterviews toward the end of summer. More info to follow on this as well.

Seventh: (you're like- "holy shit, when is this post going to end?!" It doesn't.) The map is up and running on The World. It is not COMPLETE complete--it still has weird black lines that the webdesigner is fixing and we still have to add all the place locations, but it is pretty gorgeous as is. Look at it. LOOK AT IT, I SAY. Don't you agree? Worth.

And that's it. Finally, it's ended. But as you can see, this is why I've basically fallen off the face of the planet for the last few weeks!
