To today is a post welcoming the newest member of the Sherwood band of Merry Men. My husband found her wandering about the driveway and she seemed starving. We fed her and, unsurprisingly, she was back the next day. And the next.
And then she was inside, joining our little army of rescued tabby cats.
She has been dubbed Kit Kat, or commonly known here as "Kitty" or "Kitty Kat."
(No, I was not part of this naming ceremony...)
Dear Kitty appears to have Pixie Bob in her lineage-- she has extra front toes, their wild cat face, the "double coat," coloring, and the full personality to boot.
However, at only 6 1/2 pounds, this little girl is very small! Look at how tiny she is!
She is missing many of her teeth (they think she is six and who knows why) and this results in her tongue being out. A LOT.
She also stands on her tippy toes on her back feet when you pet her while her front paws knead the air!
She is also an extremely fast learner all around, understanding and obeying basic commands and routines!
One of her primary personality traits is her bravery. Pretty much doesn't matter what it is (giant German Shepard, wild child, angry cat, roaring fans) this tiny ball of ferocity struts about like she owns the world.
And anyone who says otherwise gets corrected sharply.
And last but not least, Kitty has her quirks!
She begs for food (did this Day 1 of moving into the house), she chases Geoffrey (Chaucer) and Francis out from under the table when I yell at them, she leaps into your hand for pets, runs to greet you when you get home, and she LOVES little toy race cars.
We love her so much! ^_^

I still laugh about all your cats looking the same. Kit is adorable. You know I love tiny tigers. Bella still has her beat at 5.47 lbs. A wonderful addition to the Sherwood forest. Lol
