Did the Faravi speak Ancient Elven, or did they have their own tongue? The history and legends of Aersadore are a large part of what I like best about SOP.
Yes, the Faravi were one of the few races who, as entire people, spoke both Ancient and Modern Elven fluently. They were one of the most magically powerful and knowledgeable races on Aersadore (which did factor into their ultimate demise, unfortunately XD). Their native language was "Ancient Elven" and they spoke Modern for the sake of the world around them.
I had read all the info on the interactive map here on the site (a great source of clues!) So I recognized what he was right away. Loved Jerah's interaction with him, and the moral compass Wratherus showed belies the opinion other Aersadoreans have of his species.
